Clearances Required for Volunteers
Most volunteers will only need to complete the first 2 clearances listed, the Criminal Clearance, also known as a background check and the Child Abuse History Clearance. If you haven’t lived in Pennsylvania for at least the past 5 years, or you have lived in any other state for any amount of time during the last 5 years, then you will also need to complete the FBI Fingerprint Clearance. If you’ve lived in Pennsylvania for the past 5 years consecutively then simply print the Disclosure Statement and sign it in witness of an Executive Board member.

- Criminal Clearance: Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Record Check
- Child Abuse History Clearance: Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Certification
- Have you been a resident of PA for the past 5 consecutive years?
- if Yes -> sign the Disclosure Statement Application for Volunteers (must be signed in witness of the RJV Board Secretary or other Executive Officer)
- if No -> complete the FBI Fingerprint Clearance (contact us when it requires a code)
